St. Bernard Foundation is an independent non-profit organization that strengthens communication, inclusive education, family empowerment and the systems that support children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, Non-Verbal, and Blind or Visually Impaired.
We focus on children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, Non-Verbal, and Blind or Visually Impaired. This focused approach allows us to build deeper expertise and develop practical solutions others can replicate.
Focus builds expertise, expertise strengthens quality, and quality creates lasting impact that can be shared and replicated. Rather than trying to do everything, we aim to do the most important things with excellence.
The Foundation takes its name from Bernard in recognition of the values he lived by, but it operates independently under professional governance and serves the wider public interest.
Six interconnected programmes: Strong Beginnings; Communication Without Barriers; Inclusive Learning for Every Child; Families and Communities for Inclusion; Stronger Systems, Stronger Futures; and Knowledge, Research and Innovation.
